Our general store, the famous North Fork Store, has been in operation for over 100 years! It’s an essential stop, especially in the summer for that post-rivertrip huckleberry milkshake. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, we offer hand-scooped premium ice cream, milkshakes and malts. Dairy not your thing? We’re known for our selection of regional draft beer. Our six taps rotate but are always Idaho or Montana craft options! No dairy or gluten? That sucks–but have no fear, there’s a whole selection of ciders, canned cocktails, and seltzers in our beer cooler. The North Fork Store can be hard to describe because it truly is a little bit of everything. On top of delicious ice cream and beverages, we offer a bomb breakfast burrito. They have a tendency to sell out quickly, so if you’re a large group (or any size group really), we recommend calling a couple days in advance.

There’s an entire nook in the store dedicated to books and local vendors. In the magical book nook, you will find the river map you need. We carry Main Salmon, Middle Fork, and even a Selway map. It’d be a little weird to only carry river maps, so there’s also a selection from local authors and river legends. Looking for something local? In the book nook (it’s just fun to say), you’ll find everything from balms to mugs to tiny, packable leather cribbage boards made by local vendors.

Did you take this amazing trip while someone stayed home and watched your house and animals? We have a gift for that! We carry hilarious candles, stickers and cards galore, cool pottery and sporty drinkware options. There’s something for every one.

On a less fun note, we also carry necessities that we hope you don’t need but have if you do. Things like RV and auto supplies, batteries, cleaning supplies, etc.
